Red Cedar questions

Okay, we are planning at least one trip to red cedar this summer. staying at the county campground, fishing for 3-4 days. Now my wife wants me to try and find a resort where her family can celebrate her parents both turn 60 this year. They would like a resort to go to, fishing is not a priority to them since I am the only one that fishes. I need the ability to get out of "Headquarters" when possible.

I found the Gathering Place Resort on Red Cedar, the rates looked resonable, the fishing looks good with the possiblity of better than good, but My wife and her 3 sisters don't want to go to resort that someone hasn't seen or been to before. Kind of a catch 22, but that is what you get when you marry into a family of sisters with a father who didn't hunt or fish....Needless to say, If I am stuck at a resort for a week with all the inlaws, I need time on the boat to keep from going bonkers.......

Did you find any info on lodging at Stout Island? Also, a buddy of mine rented a beautiful house for the weekend on Red Cedar L. last year. Right on the lake, with dock, gorgeous A-frame style house. Can get info if interested. Caught smallmouth right off the dock.

Yes Cooter, I would love information on a house on a lake for rent..........My wife is realizing that they should have taken care of these plans 3 months ago, so any help now would be great
