Join our bass club. We had a young lady fish our club and she was so much fun! The guys really went out of their way to make sure she caught fish and was comfortable.

I let her drive my bass boat, she'd never driven a fast boat before. I didn't think we were ever going to get back to fishing she had so much fun.

Not a lot of cost, don't need much gear. See my posts under tournaments.
