Springbobber Newbie!

eyepatrol

Question

Okay, I just bought my first set of spring bobbers ever. I've never seen these things used either, so I need to ask about them.

What I bought was the Danielson Ice Tackle spring bobbers. Looking at the package right now, I'm seeing two small metal "springs" with two black rubber "sleeves". There's no illustrations for using them, so how do these things go onto your rod? Does the metal end go on top of the rod with what looks to be the loop ring hanging off the end and does the "sleeve" slip over the metal of the spring bobber and the rod? I don't have a clue and ANY help would be appreciated!

If it is the type with a flat wire and a small loop on the end, what I use to do is lay the flat piece on the top of the rod with the loop about1.5 inches from the tip-top and then I would take electrical tape and tape the flat piece to the rod.I never had much luck with the supplies they give you.Stop and talk to me at the lake tommorrow and I will show you the ones I personally use,and if you want I will put it on your rod and chg you a dollar for the works. Its a round spring type and very sensitive. Iam not sure what kind you have but we can get you rigged with whatever you have tommorrow a.m.Iam going to the lake very early.
