Okay, I just bought my first set of spring bobbers ever. I've never seen these things used either, so I need to ask about them.
What I bought was the Danielson Ice Tackle spring bobbers. Looking at the package right now, I'm seeing two small metal "springs" with two black rubber "sleeves". There's no illustrations for using them, so how do these things go onto your rod? Does the metal end go on top of the rod with what looks to be the loop ring hanging off the end and does the "sleeve" slip over the metal of the spring bobber and the rod? I don't have a clue and ANY help would be appreciated!
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
