I have a lowrance h20. I am looking at getting Mapcreate mostly for when we go on family vacations across the US I can make a card for the traveling. Some questions I have - which maybe are very easy questions - are once you save a map to a card and get back from your vacation can you delete the info on that card? I assume you can. I also understand that you are capped at 5 memory cards to prevent people from sharing the software.

My next question is, my buddy has an h20 as well, and lets assume I buy mapcreate. I am going to Arizona beginning part of march and plan on making a chip. if he is planning on going to arizona end of april will it work for him to use that same card in his h20? will it work?

any help would be great so i can better understand how mapcreate works since i am new to the GPS world...

Yes you can erase the data and put something else on it. And yes you can give the card to your friend.
