Clear Lake Ice Update?

I am thinking of heading up to Clear Lake tomorrow to get my ice fishing fix in, but I am not sure what the ice will be like after a week of wind and warm weather. Last Friday I saw some patches of open water on the west end of the lake, and I wonder if the high winds on Tuesday ripped those patches open. Stupid weather anyway!

Was at Clear lake last night. The wind did open up quite a bit of water but was able to get on the lake near the island. The ice I was on was 8 inches thick. There were quite a few other people fishing this area. I managed to catch numerous small eyes and one 16 incher. Didn't catch any yellows. Stayed until after dark.

I didn't check the west side near Farmer's Beach so no information on that area.

Thanks for the report. Sketchy ice, so-so fishing, and stuff I should do in here in IC meant I didn't go anyway. Maybe I'll haul my boat up to Clear Lake in a couple weeks...
