1. When unplugging my marcum from the battery so it doesn't get drained from the DCS is it OK to just disconnect the negative side? (It is easier to reach the negative side) Or will it still drain the battery somehow with the positive connected?
2. When charging a Marcum is it ok to leave the flasher itself hooked up to the battery while charging. (I know some small engines recommend disconnecting the engine before charging, I know this is not an engine, but still has electronics that can be affected just like an engine ignition)
3. After charging a Marcum with the DCS or a Vexilar battery with alligator clips, is it ok to just disconnect the charger from the 110 outlet, or should you disconnect both because leaving the connection to the charger can drain the battery still (I realize that the DCS will drain the battery slowly anyways, but will the charger on top of that drain it faster?)
Just want to make sure I don't ruin my Marcum, I always charged my Vexilar with the flasher hooked up and it started loosing color, but it just ended up being dirty brushes and not because of charging it that way.
4. Unrelated to batteries, but does everyones LX-5 go to the superfine line mode automatically when you go into zoom mode?
Wasn't terrible at a state park beach. Antelope island maybe. I wouldn't recommend it as a beach destination tho. Figured I was there, I'm getting in it.
The water looked and smelled disgusting with hundreds of thousands of birds sh*tting in there. About as gross as the Salton Sea. When I duck hunted there I didn't even want to touch the water.
It's kinda gross with the algae in the summer but I got in it anyway. Wanted to see the increased bouyancy at work. You can kinda tuck yourself into a ball and you'll just float with your head above water. When dry off you look diamond encrusted with the salt.
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
