jiffy 3hp

pout-pounder

Question

How close to a fish house wall can you drill with a 3hp Jiffy. I would like to upgrade to a 10" hole (i have a 2hp 8") now. None of the dealers near me have a 3hp model assembled. If someone would set their 3hp jiffy staight up against a wall and measure out to the center point of the auger I would really appreciate it.

The jiffy steath is 13 inches wide and 26 inches across ,length,so from the center of motor or centerline of auger to outside edge of handle,13 inches. So with the auger in the hole and room to hold onto the handle it would be approx. 13.5-14 inches. So if you have 14 inches from the center of you hole to the wall you should be good to go,with that being the very minimum. Hope this answers your question.

Thanks guys, I'm trying to layout holes for a new house. I was told the 10" auger will go nearly flush to the wall, but that puts the exhaust right against the wall, wasn't thinking that was too cool (pun). I think I'll just keep my 2hp w/ icehouse handles and find a replacement 9 inch auger.
