It seems no matter where you go the ice is very iffy. If you have to go out take all safety precautions. I've been having some fair catches of sunfish and perch up around North Hero and there is no shortage of northern pike around Birdland. Word has it that there's a good catch of perch coming out near Hog Island along Lakeshore Rd.

If you have to go out there BE EXTRA CAREFUL! Someone went through there today. He was rescued in good shape thankfully, but it's a heads up to everyone ! No matter where you go, if you must go out BE CAREFUL !

Take ice picks, floatation and throw lines out with you ! Colder weather is coming so you might just want to hold out for better ice to be on the safe side.

Good luck, be safe and tight lines to everyone ! smile.gif

Thanks for the report fishercat.

It's cool to read how things are going your way. Even if we don't always respond we're looking and enjoying what you share.

Maybe some of the others will pipe in here every now and then to show their appreciation as well.

Fishercat, Thanks for your recent post and a reply to my post on flasers. It looks like we fish the same waters. hLet's discuss how the bite is going, how the flasher is working for those sunnies and gils in the weeds and maybe we could meet on the ice some time. Thanks
