Aqua-Vu DT-100

Thinking about purchasing the DT-100 tomorrow. Shows temp, depth of camera and direction of camera. But it's $550 (my XMAS bonus). My first underwater camera. I live on Lake St. Claire, fish mainly for perch/walleye, both on the ice and open water. Lake is very clear sometimes, but averages 5'. I usually fish in 8-12'. walleye in 25', inland lakes for gills, handlining for Salmon in 30 feet in St. Clair River, exploring. Any thoughts?

Your distance you can see will depend on the water clarity, like you said usually about 5'.. that is about how far you will see with the camera.. further when the water is clearer.

While using it, pay attention to the mood of the fish, how they relate to the structure, you will be amazed how many new fishing spots you will find in open water that you will then use to catch more fish on the ice! They are a very fun tool to own!

I just bought the same camera at the end of December. You do know about the free MoPod from AquaView.... cost of shipping with proof of purchase. I haven't used the pod yet, but the camera is sweet! Have fun!

Go to http://www.aquavu.com/av_dt.html and look near the bottom of the page. There's a button to click that will print the form that you have to fill out and send in with your receipt and $10 for your free Mopod. SWEET!! I can't wait till we have ice again. Only had a few days on the ice back in December, it's been raining and warm in Detroit for the past 2 weeks.
