Mr. Heater Cooker question

Looking for ideas for my Mr. Heater cooker in my 2 person suitcase style portable. I have the 1 lb tank but don't know where to put whole thing. I have tried putting it between me and the other person fishing, but it seems to always heat up one guys leg too much. There just isn't much room in my 2 man portable but I need heat sometimes!

Anyone else have this problem and/or solution?

Have you tried placing it in the cooker position? That way it wouldn't be radiating straight out onto one guys leg

I have a Eskimo Pro suitcase 2man and had a little stand made for it but that took up too much space and I could only have 3 (10 inch) holes in the house. Well we were (Contact US Regarding This Word) last week and my brother straddle it over the divider. The V in the Cooker was on the floor but it was stable and didn't melt anything since all the heat went up. It saved a lot of room. The heat goes straight up instead of toward a leg. I have not tried it with the hose hook up that way yet though.

Another thing I tried this year was getting a Survivor blanket for $2.99 and mount it on the inside of the portable. Man did it keep the heat in! We could only run the cooker for 10 minutes in low and had to turn it off because it was so hot.
