Ultimate Gear bag / Tackle box

Minnetonka

Recommended Posts

Ok, I have been at the ice fishing game for over 40 year years and I have accumulated a lot of the gear/gadgets and tackle that I think I need and a lot that I do not need. I usually take a couple of long weekend trips for nothing but ice fishing. I always wonder if I am forgetting something. I have decided to start a check-list for all the gear and gadgets that a guy should have for a week long ice fishing trip. I will kick this off with a few items. But I want others to add items that you would like to have with you. By the time we are all done kicking this around, I hope that we have a pretty good list for newbie’s and veterans alike:

3 jigging rods

Tip-up

Coleman lantern

Extra mantels

Head light

Grub-getter box

Extra batteries

Extra lantern fuel

Minnow bucket

Ice-anchors

Ice skimmer

GPS

Collapsible shovel

Forceps

Line-clippers

Vexlar

Sun glasses

Hand held depths

Auger

Extra hat and gloves

Cell phone

Tackle box

candles
