Ever hear of a .219 Zipper or Ernst Magnum ?

Has anyone out there heard of a 219 Zipper? I've seen a couple 40 years ago, they were both level actions. My brother got a hold of a bolt action .219 5 years ago and turned it into a tack driven son of a gun. It works fantastic on youtes and fox. It's a very flat shooter. Down side is he has to reload his shells and may not be able to find the brass he needs.

Also, how about an Ernst Magnum ? They were made, on mauser actions, barrels and stocks custom hand made, by a David Ernst, last known address Devil's Lake Wisc, he no longer lives there. I met him a couple of times and bought a 30.06 Winchester from him in 1972 for $100. It's a beautiful weapon and has taken a few deer. Too bad I didn't have enough money to buy a magnum as well. The magnums he built are higher caliber 300 and above and are works of art.

I would like to explore getting either a .219 Zipper or Ernst Magnum if anyone out there has one.

These are fun guns. Not popular, but fun. The 219 is closely related to the .218 bee and both are rimmed cartridges. Neither is hyper velocity though. They are accurate and are reloadable. The ammunition came in boxes of fifty. The only two .219s that I ever saw were both single shots. Sweet little weapons.
