Competitive Pistol Shooting

Does anyone here do any competitve pistol shooting in the Metro? What's out there? I'm more interested in stuff that I've seen on TV where the shooter is moving verses standing at a station and aiming for the 10 ring.

Does USPSA or IDPA have anything in the area?

Right now your options are fairly limited. I know the Burnsville Range has a shoot on Thursday nights at 7pm. Most of the other ranges start in the spring. I am unsure of the start dates as I just started last year. Check the Minnesota Section of USPSA for the local clubs that offer shoots throughout the summer. There are several clubs in the metro that do action shooting and you can find a shoot most weekends or a league during the week.

Check out the Oakdale Gun Club in Lake Elmo. I know they offer some competitive handgun shooting. Not sure what types, but they have a web site with details.
