Anybody used this type of Ice house. It's got a floor and then to sides to it, that are open to the ice. I thought it was kinda cool, and was wondering if anybody has used it or has one. Do you like it? Should I get one or just go with a all floor or a flip over?

I own a Clam 1060 and it is perfect for me. I like the extra room. I put the heater and Marcum out on the ice and it is away from the boots and nothing gets too hot. It will fit three people quite easily sitting in director chairs or four people sitting on buckets. The down side is that it does take a few minutes to set up. A couple of extra bars have to be put in place to do this. It takes less than five minutes to take down, but others take less than a minute. I like a lot of room and don't move a whole lot, so I love it. We moved on LOW yesterday and it took twenty minutes from the time the lines were out of the water till they were back in. That was with two people moving. Hope this helps.

I looked at those 1060's a couple of years ago, went with the 6800 and then sold that last year to get a voyager. It really came down to set up time and how many people are going to fish in it. My voyager fits two big guys extremely comfortably, and 3 guys work as well. takes about 1 minute to get it up and rolling.....If you are only fishing 2-3 guys look at the voyager, take the guys that you go fishing with and sit in it too
