Spot on! Excellent exposure. Balanced, nice angle of light, and well color saturated. Did you saturate color in a photo program in post-processing, or did it come that way right from the camera? My Canon 20D allows me to set the color saturation level before shooting. Not sure if your Rebel XT does or not. What lens are you using?

A side note: You've asked for opinion, so here's one. Try cropping that image so the stuff in the background on the left is gone. Then it'll just be mockingbird with the berry in its mouth, the sky and the vegetation (some type of holly?) It won't necessarily make the image better, just different. Playing around with that stuff can dramatically change the way the image is perceived. Some like this, some like that. grin.gif

Also, did you sharpen the image at all in post processing? Looking closely at the eye (which is generally the most important part of any wildlife image), it looks like it could use a bit more sharpening.
