96' Polaris XLT chain case

Does anyone know how many ounce's of oil you put in your chain case?? I don't have a manual and cannot find anywhere on the internet that has the info. Any help is appreciated.

WELL I AM NOT SURE OF THE SPECS ON A 96 XLT. BUT IT SHOULD HAVE A DIPSTICK ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CHAINCASE COVER. I WOULD JUST START WITH 8 OZ SEE WHERE IT IS AT ON THE DIPSTICK AND ADD ACCORDINGLY

there should be a yellow dipstick down below the brakes,bye the recoil rope,checkit on flat ground,has a magnet on the end if its full of shavings ,may want to pull yhe cover off to inspect it

I am certain that it is less then 12oz's. I sell AMSOIL and I know a guy that has a 96 xlt and he will pick up 1 x 12oz bottle of chain case oil from me everytime he changes his gears in his xlt. (normaly 2-3 times a year). So 1 12oz bottle would work for you. Let me know if you have any other questions.
