I just purchased a new Strikemaster Electric auger. I was wondering if you should charge the battery after every use? I drilled about 15 holes (only 5-6 inches of ice) and the battery indicator still showed that it was good. Is it better to run it down or recharge it everytime? The instructions did not say anything. Thanks in advance.

trophyhunter, the battery used in the Strikemaster is virtually the same as those used in Vexilars, Marcums, Aqua-Views, etc. In all cases it's recommended to recharge after each use to prolong battery life. Obviously if you're away from a recharging source, say over a weekend, then recharge upon your return. In the off-season make it a point to recharge every 30 days.
