Yellowstone/Tongue River Fishing?

Just wondering if hitting the Yellowstone or Tongue rivers for smallies would be worth me dragging my boat out there next fall??(Miles City Area) Planning on a mulie hunt this fall (land owner tag). Anticipating having some multisport time to spend fishing. Just wondering if there are any river rats out in that part of the country. (I have a jet rig so running shouldn't be a problem)

Any help advice or guidance y'all might have would be highly appreciated.

They do really well on smallies out there. I have never fished it but my fiancee is from the Miles City area and her family fishes the Yellowstone. I think a Jet is a must. In talking to some people in MT, it sounds like the Yellowstone is just as trecherous as the Upper Mississippi that I am used to fishing.
