New Ranger Boat and transducer trouble

I just got a Ranger 617 with a "thru the hull" transducer for an X-15. I loose the signal in deep water going over 30MPH. I will need to mount a transducer on the outside but where? There does not appear to be a good spot on the transom. Please Advise!
