The Ice Show

I spent the opening afternoon of the Ice Sports Show promoting Marcum Technologies in the Thorne Brothers Booth on Friday. What an event that is! Anyone looking for something to do today or tomorrow I would urge to go....lots of really decent sales and tons of new products to consider putting on the wish list....or X-Mass list!

I have absolutely no idea of how many FMers, registered and casual readers, that I met. For the sake of not embarrassing myself by forgetting someone, I'll just say it was indeed a pleasure to meet all of those who stepped up to say "Hi".

To the guys ( and gals) from Thorne, I'd like to say thank you for welcoming me into your realm there and hopefully I can get to the store to put in that order for that nice little pannie rod I was envious of. It was a true pleasure to work with and around all of you.

And to Paul Thorne I want to say it is good to finally put a face with a name and to Marcum Technologies I'd also like to say thank you for the opportunity to represent such a fine product.

While the day started off in a slow fashion compared to last year, it took off nicely as the day got on and by mid-afternoon things were really moving. It was a real adventure. On my way home last night I got to thinking about how this event is just another way to expand on what fishing is really about....meeting people, sharing time and tales, the laughs, the concerns. Events like this are quite simply another way we cement together this community we all refer to fishing. It was great to meet all of those I did and to spend some time with some really quality people!

also had a blast. as usual, me and dad were there right at the beginning...but we were really late this year, didn't get there 'til almost 1:30, by the time the elevator doors opened, I was almost in a dead sprint to the ticket line!!!! got some nice deals, best one I'd say was the ice well from todays tacle for only $15!!! the sad part is, nothing big for me this year, as my wife reminds me....I have EVERYTHING!!!!!!!! now it's just looking at what is new and what's better than I have!!! Still fun to go and see the people. one think I saw more of this year which I liked, is a few guys bringing their kids!!! soon as mine are old enough, they'll be tagging along with dad too!!! see ya all on the ice!!!!
