ice auger size

I've got a rather large assortment of ice augers here's what I use.

5 inch lazer hand auger for early ice, have new blades for this year and the drill device.

7 inch lazer electric for the shanty, also have a 7 inch Jiffy electric which broke a gear (older model) parts are no longer available for it.

8 inch lazer 2hp gas auger with a extra 7 inch lazer bottom, this auger gets the most use.

10.25 inch 3hp Jiffy, owned for six years now been and hasn't been used for three years. Only thing it's good for is drilling holes for tip ups. This year it may be used again in my quest for the first 20 lb ice pike.

Also own a couple Mora hand augers which live in the garage year round.

In my opinion the 7 inch lazer is best. Only problem is finding blades for it. The Owatonna and Rogers Cabalas don't carry them nor do Fleet Farms or Gander Mountain. Had to buy two sets on line at Marine General.

My old mag 2000 just got sent to the recycleing center and I'm in need of a new hole cutter. How is the new 4-stroke from Strikemaster on gas fumes? I really don't want to keep cleaning the mess off the shanty walls.
