What heater to buy?

I just bought a frabill 2-3 man ice shack and im now looking for a heater. Im trying to decide if to buy a heater buddy that runs on the disposable propane tanks or if i should buy the circle heaters that go on top of the big propane tank. The heater buddy is a little more expensive. However, im concerned the circle heaters may be too warm for my small 2 man shack. What do you guys think?

I know you dont want to hear this but,Buy both! I have an Otter Lodge and when its cold 10 F or colder the buddy just cant keep up. When its cold I always use my Sunflower heater well actually I bought a Mr. Cooker and bought a hose extension and I put my propane tank outside to save valuable space inside the fish house! Good fishing and hope you like your new fish house. grin.gif

A standard MR. Buddy will probably not be warm enough for a 2 man when it is colder out. The Big Buddy that puts off twice the heat would work, if not go with the sunflower heater. I have a Standard Mr. Buddy which is use for my Fish Trap Guide, Which is the smallest 2 man flipover. Most that fish with me don't like it when it is real cold because they don't think it is warm enough. I get by with it but if you like to be toasty, go with the sunflower.

I would go with the regular Mr. Heater sunflower which fits on top of your propane tank, or the Mr. Heater/cooker which is freestanding and connects to your bulk tank with an accessory hose. Plenty of heat!

I will use a sunflower in my 1 man shack. Usually I keep it on the lowest setting but it is workable. My Otter Lodge, I occassionally use both the heater/cooker and a Mr. Buddy Heater. Typically, the heater/cooker is enough but when it is really, really cold, I'll pull the buddy heater out as well.
