Best time of day/weather for northerns

Just curious (like George) when you've had the best luck fishing for northerns. Specifically, time of day and type of weather. Tks.

Overall, the period from mid morning through mid afternoon. Generally, I've had my best luck with numbers on sunny days. My biggest tip-up pike, a fat 39-incher, came on Birch Lake near Babbitt on a sunny, breezy -20 late morning.
