mirrocraft boats

zepman

Question

Had the opportunity today to look at some MirroCraft boats. Was wondering if anybody out there has one or knows someone who doe's. One model in particular was the 1775 Aggressor EXP. Had some really great features and ton's of storage space. Was really set up like a 1800 ProV. I did notice the fit and finish wasn't as good as the lund but the features were really unbelievable for a boat that lists for around 18K. This is equipped with a 115 Opti. Somebody please tell me I'm crazy for even considering this boat. Thanks.

Isn't that something that 18k sounds like a good deal now days!!! There is a dealer here that sells them and last year sold alot of them, of course he says that they are good boats. I've looked at them and agree with you about the features and finish, but they don't look like too bad of boats. The dealer here says they run alot of them up into canada and he compares them to Lund but that is also all he sells besides pontoons. I have not really seen anything on them that would tell me not to tell someone not to buy them, but don't know anybody who has fished out of one either. That is about all I can tell you right now, will try to get on their HSOforum and compare them to the boats in my Lund catalog and post another reply.

Just got off their HSOforum and compared it to the Lund pro-v 1775. Here is what I gathered

pro-v- 1355#
aggressor-1280#
aggresser-bigger livewells (2)
12-24 volt receptacles same as pro-v
pro-v - bigger fuel tank (3gal)
pro-v beam- 3" wider
aggressor length-8" longer
bow depth same
lbs capacity same
lots of storage same
twin plated hull-same
To sum it up it looks like a pro-v 1775 with a little more length but shorter than the 1800 pro-v so the decision is yours to make, I know I would talk to someone who has one because 18k is still alot of money in anybody's pocket, especially if it has not so good resale value, which I don't know about mirrocraft. My opinion is there is only one boat to have and that's the one you feel like you like the best and can afford. Good luck and if you get this boat be sure to post your likes and dislikes, holy sh.., they are made where the packers roam, boy good luck again, and don't tell me you are a packers fan!!!!!

Thanks for your reply. I didn't see any specs or compare them before you posted them. Just by looking at the Mirro I could pretty much tell they were going to be close. I don't know of anyone who has one and I rarely see them on the water or the road so I would be leary about dropping that much $$ on one before I learn more. Was really looking at the Crestliner FishHawk 1750 and liked that rig alot. One drawback to the Crestliner is that if you go with a 24 V trolling motor you virtually use up half of your storage space with batteries. This Mirro had more storage space than ANY boat I have looked at all Winter. Again, it's really set up like a ProV. I'm sure the resale is much less than Lund, Crestliner, or Alumacraft. Dealer had told me it was made in Wisconsin and does very well in that state and also Michigan. He also said that the reason you don't see more of them is because of the limited amount of dealer's in Mn. who actually carry the line. Makes sense since the three previous lines are all MN. made. By the way, the only other team other than the Vikes that I root for is the one playing those bleeping cheeseheads every Sun. Thanks again!

A friend of mine has a 1750 fishhawk with a ninety Johnson and he loves it, very quick out of the hole and top end and handles the waves well, a little choppy I think because it is fairly light but overall very nice boat, don't tell him that though it is fun argueing with him, I can't imagine his boat maxed out on hp though, that would be fun, I think he could put a 125hp on there, might be 115hp though, all I know pretty impressive with a 90hp. His is a couple years old and there is a few things I don't like about it but I think with all the changes crestliner has done with that model since his took care of those. I just like the pro-v's because they are so fisherman friendly by how they are layed out, fishing out of mine is great and I have always gotten good money out of my used Lunds, but never bought new, my current one I bought from my dealer after it was used for 2 months, guy bought it and his wife wanted a full windshield so he traded it in, so I got a good deal, I had the dealer looking for something like that for me and he come through, he has always treated me decent on all my boats so it is good, in my case to stick with a dealer you can trust to get you the best deals and I always deal with one guy, who is also the owner. New boats are the way to go but when it comes to money, if I can find a deal like I always have I will go with used, not more than a year old, but they are hard to find. Put your name on the dealers list with what you want, if you want used and they will call you right when they get one in, but you gotta act fast because they wanna get rid of it fast as they can. Just my opinion on what I do not to say I would not buy new though but when I put a ding in my boat I can alwats say well I did buy it used you know. I was also told that new boats might taka a big jump in price next year due to the high prices in alum and steel. If you are interested in a pro-v I could get a price for you just to see, don't know if you want 4-stroke or the new 2-strokes which are unbelievably quiet and fuel effiecent with better power than the 4-strokes.

Just got off the phone with him on some prices, he's got a 03 carryover never been used with 115 4-stroke, can have a 140 4-stroke put on and he gave me some prices on a 04' model also with either motor, the new 2-strokes are only up to 90hp so far but he has the old 2-strokes new there also but he told me every one wants the new 2-strokes or the 4-strokes. get you a 04' 1775 with 140 4-stroke for under 23000.00, 115 4- stroke couple grand less than that and the 03' even cheaper than that throw me your e-mail and I can give you some prices and his phone number, he sells a ton of lunds and is good to deal with.
