Last year at the ice show I noticed some dealers selling tripod attachments for underwater cameras. I just bought my first camera yesterday (aqua vu scout) and was wondering if anyone had any experience with with tripods. Are they necessary to hold the camera in place or does the camera stay pointing in the direction you set it? Thanks.

The Icepod is a great little accessory. The camera cable have an inherent twist in them. So with the Icepod it stabiliizes this so you can keep your camera pointed in 1 direction. Of course for a higher dollar amount there is the Mo-Pod, which is a motorized tripod. Either way, it really helps.......but if you plan to solely down-vu you don't need to worry wink.gif
