Little John
While many of us are hunting the rut right now, our die hard fishing buddies are cashing in on the fall feeding frenzy. All around Lake St. Clair and any other lake that has marinas with boat docks there is sure to be some great panfishing. There are a few different factors that contribute to what can an often be a fantastic bite on a mixed bag of jumbo panfish.I don’t expect anyone to give specific locations of these honey holes, but how about sharing some success stories. What presentations are working? What lakes are producing? Anyone trying soft plastics?I can tell you, big crappies that would normally be spread out through many weed beds will tend to school tightly around boat docks and pilings because of the lack of standing vegetation. These structures also act as a sort of local water heater because they soak up the suns rays. And of course there is always the shade factor.Marina’s just tend to offer an awesome combination of factors that provide some fast action during the fall. Don’t miss out on it.
