Question

Has anyone tried or liked the bottomline depthfinders? My brother is lookin for a new finder and can't decide between the fishmark 480, lx125 or the tournament 480 from bottomline which is the cheapest but still with 2000 watts of power and 480 by 320 pixels. I have always been lowrance but I told him to try the bottomline for only $209 with speed and temp.

The bottom line is actually 480x480m has good peak to power, large display screen, and has very very user friendly operation. I picked one myself this year. It seems like good power for the money. I was waiting for the Garmin 250c to hit the stores but there appears to be some distribution problem from Garmin to the retailers.

I just purchased the Bottom Line Tournament 480 Max and so far am very impressed. I used it on the Mississippi, and it seems to be a great unit. It has a very good backlight, it is a screen glow type, not just a light on the side. Plus you can adjust the backlight to 4 different settings. It seems like a heck of a product, with a ton of power for arond 200 bucks.
