Choke for slugs

I usualy use Improved cylinder for shooting slugs out of my shotgun because iv'e read thats the best but now with my new gun all that came is cylinder and mod...wat should i use bewteen the 2 cylinder or modified...was leaning twoards modified

Generally cylinder will outshoot a modified choke with rifled slugs. If fact I prefer cylinder to imp. cylinder for shooting slugs. The more open the less there is to throw the slug off target.

Better get to the range. You won't be alone.

I agee. Cylinder is best. The more it's choked, the more deflection is likely due to contacting the eges of the barrel. In my Mossberg 500 12 gauge, I shot 2 3/4 inch 1 oz slugs through a skeet choke, which is pretty wide open, and they shot really nice.
