My 3 year old springer spaniel is a great duck and pheasant hunting dog. He will make some great retrieves for ducks and is always running for pheasants. The problem is he will not retrieve pheasants....sometimes. He gets ducks and brings them back and he also gets wet pheasants and brings them back, but pheasants on land you can forget about it. He runs up to the bird makes sure its dead and then continus hunting. Is there anything i can do? Is he to old to brake of this habbit?
