korn_fish
Whats the deal with posession limits for people that have, say a canada fishing license along with their MN license? Is the possesion limit the higher of the two, OR limit based on state of residency, OR combined total?Same goes for things like geese etc. I have fish in my freezer from Canada still, and trying to figure out if I need to eat them before I keep any more MN eyes. FOOT
As long as you can "prove" they came from Canada you should have nothing to worry about. Posession limits only refer to the State or if there happens to be a Federal posession limit. One of the best ways to protect yourself is to get a resort to package your fish with their name and date. If you can't get that then make sure when YOU package your fish/etc that YOU include a slip of paper with location, date and your name. In short do your due diligence and everything should be ok if/when stopped by a warden. We have done the same thing when we hunt ducks/pheasants in ND and then come back and hunt MN for the same. We just package them individually and include a slip of paper with the info and have not had a problem and we have been checked by a CO.
