Glassguy
My son and I are planning to go to Thief Lake next week duck hunting. Can anyone share a report? It looks like it will be cloudy and rainy. It will be ducky weather but are there any bids?
hobbydog
I will be up that way myself next couple weeks. To early to get reports. My experience is that it can change from day to day. New birds can move in and stay a day or two and move on. Kind of like the fish bite. If you chase where it was hot yesterday or last week you will chase your tail. You are going to the right place, at the highest probability time to get migrating ducks. Don't be afraid to stay out till early afternoon. Ducks that leave Manitoba at sunrise will not reach TL till late morning/early afternoon.Good luck.

Nova
Glassguy, I was in the Fergus Falls area this last weekend and saw quite a few large flocks of geese migrating Saturday. There are a fair amount of local ringbills around, but not many northern ducks there yet. Good luck and let us know how you do.
