Pheasants in the Fargo Area

My youngest moved to ND last year and he wants me to come out and chase pheasants this coming weekend. I'm a little reluctant to drop$100.00 on a license for 2 days of hunting , but what the he!! Any advice, tips, pointers, etc. would be greatly appeciated. Bringing my Brittany and also his 12 week old GSP.

I dont know about Fargo area but if you go south of Valley City Lamoure and Oaks area you will find some birds.
