22 REM. JET

I am looking for a 22 jet. Prefer the S&W pistol but will consider any thing in this cartridge.

Anyone know someone, who has a buddy, that knows someone ??

Your best bet for finding a S&W model 53 revolver would probably be in the shotgun news classifieds. If you find one available out of state you will need to have one of your local dealers handle the transaction. Because of the taper on the cartridge case the cases tended to back out of the cylinder and lock up the cylinder and there were not many of these guns sold. You can get a Thompson Contender or Encore barrel in this caliber, might be special order at most places but TC does list the 22REM JET as an available barrel.

Thanks for the info. I know the barrels are hard to find. I would then have to buy the rest of the gun...... Grandpa had a scoped Mod. 53 we cant find the gun, he must of sold it at some point. I have a mess of ammo for it and lots of reloading materials also. Someday i will get one. There are a few out there, but mostly collectible pieces. I want one i can just shoot and not worry about the value .
