Is the only difference in these two units the remote control of the camera?

No, that's not the only difference. The 460 does not have the on-screen display features; viewing direction arrow, depth, battery status and temperature readouts.

The 560 can auto pan back and forth at 3 different speeds on the 460 it is one speed controled on the unit.

The extra features that the 560 has are entirely worth the extra money in my opinion.

The on screen displays are awesome!

-Depth of the camera

-Direction the camera is pointing

-Water temperature

The auto panning of the camera is also sweet!

The remote also comes in very handy!
