Please dont tell me its true that Gardy took Santana out of the game with a excellent chance to win the era title if it is true the guy should put in a nut house.What the hell was he thinking cripe Santana would only have 6 months to rest up,plus the game was meaningless other than that stat.

he had 107 pitches and the inning earlier had the bases loaded with 1 out and got a lucky double play these days 110 pitches is a complete game and you are done no matter what maybe Gardy saved his era cuz the next inning he could of got rocked? if these writers know the game of baseball Santana will win the Cy young again if they go my meaningless wins for pitchers on good teams colon will win Santana has every other stat for pitchers locked up

Last time I looked baseball was and is a team game. Gardy does what is best for the team. Stats are for losers. Baseball has a stat for everything but they mean nothing. Bet Santana would like to have won the era but I'll bet he won't complain that they won the game.

I got it all figured out the ace must have had something in his contract that if he won the era title cheapskate Pohlad might have had to pay him an extra 50 bucks or so,so he probably had the genuis(terry ryan)call down to gardy to pull him,you have to admit the whole season has been a pretty big joke.I just had to get that off my chest.

Hmm did I watch a different game? did not Detroit score 3 runs the next inning? I guess it was Gardys fault for not pulling Santana before he gave up the 5th inning homerun. That pretty much took care of his era....

Hmmm I think he only needed 4 outs to win the title I believe that those three runs were charged to crain.Plus if he was hurt so bad why did he even pitch into the 7th.
