Doonbuggy
Check out sfsportfishing.com. I have gone out of Fisherman's Wharf a couple of times for nice salmon (9-25 lbs is the usual range, can get to 40 lbs.)These are caught outside of the Golden Gate Bridge or you can take a smaller private charter that cruises around the bay/Alcatrez for Halibut. I did this with Don Franklin aka Soleman - great guy. The season may also dictate what they go out for.I recommend making a firm rspv with a boat as opposed to trying to walk on the morning of. You might get left behind. It's a fun time and the tourists always check out the fish you have caught when you get back.DB
18 inch Crappie
Just got back from our honeymoon from there. All the fishing charters are lined up down by the Wharf, Salmon are in now, biggest the guy told me for his boat was 55lbs. They all have signs up. Best time to catch them is in the afternoon after they come back. Some do night trips around the bay for sight seeiers (extra cash) for $10 you could always do that the day before to check them out and ask questions.
