Old Rods/Superline

I've got a couple of "old"(15yrs) fenwick rods.

Should I refrain from using any of the superlines(fireline,powerpro, even flourocarbon) on these rods?

Any concern with older reels?(Abu Garcia cardinals)

The only problem you should have will be with guide wear. Guide ring material has evolved right along with line makeup. If you check guides periodically by running a q-tip around the inside of the guide ring it will tell you if you are "grooving" your guides. Depending on useage you might get by a long time. If you experience wear it is pretty easy and relatively inexpensive to reguide the rod. Rod
