LED Lights

I have used rope lighting in the past for my portable but I see that there is a new portable LED now available that velcros to window flaps of most portables. Has anyone used these before? If you do a search for Fish House Supply you can see them on there 12 volt accessories page. I think that they would be more user freindly then the rope lighting because of not needing a extra battery for them. The way it looks they take 3-AAA batteries that are built in to the unit.

That looks like a pretty good idea. Those would work better in my portable then the ropes.

Crappie: I saw some LED, white "Back-up" lights, on a truck today. I going to find where I can get a couple of these. They were quite bright and I'm sure don't take much juice to burn bright.. They are about 4" in diameter and have about 15 clear bulbs in them.. I'll try a truck supply or a truck stop on the west side of the cities.. Anyone else seen these???? ... Kaz

Anyone ever build their own LED light systems?

I bought a couple led lights from the internet at super bight leds, if you do a google search, you should be able to find them. They have all kinds of led bulbs to fit exsisting sockets and are pretty cheap. I bought the ones that have a 1156 base with a small board of like 24 leds for my big house. They are not real bright, but work good for hole lights. Hope this helps.

I see that Fish House Supply has the small LED lights for over holes that need 12 volt power as well. But I thought the other portable battery operated ones they have would work good because the fact they run on 3-AAA batteries and can velcro to the window flaps.
