Color point

Hubcat

Question

I have a color point and the one of the pins broke on the male end of the transducer plug that goes inside the color point. I looked at it and it is easy to replace but I can't find where to buy the plug. I e-mail Hummingbird and they said they would have to fix it at a cost of about $40. Any information on where to get one?

I just went to Zercom's HSOforum and they have ABSOLUTELY NO info on the colorpoints! Its like they never existed. They must have dropped it from their new product line. I just bought one last year and love it but now I wonder how long we can expect to get parts if needed. Really ticks me off mad.gif

Boys and Girls, and all who own Colorpoint flashers. I e-mailed both Vexilar and Humminbird . I asked Vex if they had purchased the colorpoint or its tech. or had anything to do with them in the future as to service . Vexilar said " This is not true". I asked Humminbird what the status of the colorpoint was . The answer was "We are no longer making the colorpoint ,we will continue to have parts and service, we have sold nothing to Vexilar". So there it is and as a very satisfied colorpoint I am **** sad to find out that I now own an obsolete piece of equipment. I know I bought the right thing at the time now I can only hope it lasts forever. How does anyone else feel?

Thanks for the ideas I will check these places out.Does anybody know what the three different pins are for? I broke 1 of them off and the color point still seems to work ok.Are they for the different depth ranges?(I have not tried the deepest setting yet to see if it still works, but the first two work)

I love my color point and I hope that they will continue to support it.
