Best choke for shooting slugs

What is the best choke for shooting slugs out of a smooth barrel? I have seen they have rifled chokes. Can you use those with a smooth barrel or do you need a rifled barrel? Thanks for the input!

I've honestly had very good shooting with an Improved Cylinder in a smooth bore.

Most of my slug shots are 50 yards or less. Actually, 50 yards out is kind of a long poke for the type of deer hunting we do.

The rifled choke tubes are better than a completely smooth bore, but you should really shoot sabot slugs with any rifling involved. The rifled tubes don't hold a candle to a fully rifled barrel though either. As to regular chokes, the bigger the better so as Boiler says IC is good, but you should check your choice at the range. Don't use a full choke though, its too tight for a slug.
