scifisher
I thought I'd start a thread about one of my favorite rivers up here. The fall is typically good for large brown trout, steelhead, coho salmon, and chinook. The Brule is starting to heat up. I spent the weekend fishing with my father and we did pretty good. We landed a total of four lake run browns with the largest being about 25 inches. There was some good action out there and lots of fish were surfacing or just plain jumping out of the water. I had one fish hit my jitterbug and fly completely out of the water by at least a foot or two. That guy had some great hang time. scifisher
OnTheWater
I fished the brule last fall for steelies on the fly rod; actually my first fly fishing experience ever. It was an awesome experience and I'm definitly looking forward to battling those brutes once again this fall. Scifischer, No need to be specific, but could you clue me in on where I can expect to find these big browns? I have a little experience with the brule, but not much; any help would be much appreciated. [email protected]
