migrating warblers watch out!

This little fella was sitting on Sheridan Street in Ely alongside a business with big bay windows. There were two warblers there, huddled on the sidewalk trying to recover after flying into the windows during migration. It's getting to be that time of year. You can see that this guy's eyes are half closed and his bill is still bent from the impact. Many, many thousands of warblers die each year by hitting high-tension power poles, tall buildings and other structures that they can't see during nighttime flights.

Of course, Mrs. Catfish couldn't allow that to happen. She picked him up, warmed him up and released him after he recovered a bit later.
