Cleaning / polishing Bucktail blades?

Hecker

Recommended Posts

I started fishing musky a year or two ago, so my father ( an unbelievable Musky fisherman himself) made me a dozen bucktails as well as me stopping in at Thorne’s a few times. Putting the money to bait instead of a good box my tackle is getting all tarnished. My questions are:

What to use?

Dose Mothers work?

Dose the smell of the product affect the fish?

I guess I wouldn’t know if this stuff would affect anything seeing as I haven’t seen a musky all year.

Thanks

&

Catch some fish!

I use Never-dull, it's a silver polish that also does wonders on chrome. As far as an odor I wipe off every thing that I polished with a no scent soap or a baking soda water mix. I started using some of those rust inhibitors or little "pucks" you can put in your tackle box and they seem to really help with the tarnishing of lures.
