fishman
Because of circumstances we will have to cross the border into Canada at International Falls on Saturday am on 8-27-05 around 10 am. What has your experience been for wait times and how long has the line been.We normally cross during the week and have never ran into any delays at all.Appreciate any and all comments. Thanks
tntn3
We cross on Saturday Mornings, usually early then 10 but have never had more then a few minutes wait. 10 on Saturday has got to be better then what I saw on my last return trip the following Friday evening. There was a line of cars and boats the stretched throughout International Falls. Talked to some guys who had been waiting a couple of hours.Where are you headed? randallt
You might consider crossing at Baudette. I crossed there on a Sat. mid afternoon with no wait. Coming home was the following sat. and we had to wait about 10 minutes. I have not been across Int'l Falls on a weekend but talked to a guy in Nestor Falls that said he had to wait 2 1/2 hrs to get into Canada.

Animal
This time of year the border crossing is much better than June or July because most of the summer trips have been made and the kids go back to school in the southern US, but I wouldn't plan on getting right across at 10:00 AM. It could be an hour or even two depending on how many lanes the CA boarder patrol is operating. Souix Lookout is about 4 hours drive time from Fort Francis, so I would plan accordingly with my outfitter. I don't know what season TNTN3 crosses the border, but during the summer Saturday morning wait times can get to 3 hours and lines can last well into the afternoon.
