I was wondering how this unit was. Also, do you need the MMC card to run the unit or is this just for data storage? Some of these units require a diploma from Yale.

DB The unit your talking about is sonar&gps I think. I've been checking out the same unit but only gps. I'm slow at learning this and I'm sure someone knows more but this is the way I understand it. You don't need a MMC card to run it. It works just like any other gps unit. You can buy cards from Navionics for some lakes that have the depth contours on it which would be nice. You can also put in a blank that you can record waypoints and your trails that youv'e taken. Looks like a good unit Good luck!
