Lindy rigging

Fished the mud flats on mille lacs and caught fish until the wind died down. We switched to using leeches lindy style. I had a tough time telling what a bite felt like. A few times it felt like I bumped a rock. I released the line but did not feel anything afterwards?

I was trying to stay on the breaks of the flats . Are they certain features of the flats that is better suited for this kind of fishing? Do you only fish areas you mark fish?

Thomas, I use slip sinker rigs all the time on Kabetogama, Power Pro line telegraphs a signal as good if not better than any line on the market. Believe me there are lots of rocks on Kab, and feeling the difference between signals can make or break ya. guts

I can tell you if you are fishing the mud flats of Mille Lacs, not rock, not gravel, but mud, anything you feel is a bite. You feel something like your sinker hitting a rock, it is a fish, thats been my expierience over the years. I feel anything, i feed line because its a fish.
