mountain states archery question

We took a year break from our annual Wy. trip this year - the rifle season couldn't be done this year.

Got a call from my brother tonight and we talked about how badly we're jonesing for the mountain.

The question is - does anyone know if any of the mountain states offer any sort of archery tag or what the situation on over the counter tags is like.

Where we hunt in Wyoming gets filled every year through the draw and I believe their set up is that you apply for the gun tag and if you get drawn you can use a bow plus they've got a september archery season.

Very different from MN where you can hunt Sept-Dec and the archery tag is a completely different license.

haven't started researching this yet but figured I'd ask in case any of you have any ideas.

Plenty of areas in CO offer over the counter elk tags for archery - both either or and cow tags. I'm sure other states do as well, especially antlerless tags. Do some research and you certainly can hunt archery elk this fall.
