Merc 25 2-stroke Problem

It's an early 90s. It runs at about half power under a load in forward. Seems to rev all right when the throttle linkage is pushed manualy, idles, starts and trolls fine. Just won't run out at full throttle.

Fuel line, tank, and filter are good. Prop seems fine. Any Ideas? Thanks

I think your running on one lung. Check the plugs, I'll bet one is wet.

I've had the cover latch grab the plug wire before and in time wrecks the wire.
