Prediction Comes 9 Days Early !

Well fans,

My prediction that I made over three weeks ago has come to fruition 9 days early. I said that the Twins would be 9 games behind my beloved Pale Hose by the end of June. Thanks to the best pitcher in baseball, Mr. Jon Garland's superior performance tonight. Welcome the first pitcher to 12 wins in the bigs, Mr. Garland.

Next Prediction.

Honestly looking at the schedule in July, I am a little worried. Looks a little tough and the Twins look to stop the bleeding, especially if they make a trade. Therefore, I will say that the Sox will be up by 13 games on or before July 31st.

windy i dont know u all that well but even if ur beloved stinky sox are up by 13 so be it.. maybe its time 4 a changing of the al central guard for a year... you are playing well but I am a die hard twins fan..win or lose they will still be my team..so maybe this is your year to get a division title after UNDER achieving the last how many years?? good luck to ur sox the rest of the way..trust me ..MY prediction is sox will win the division by 4 games..twins will still make the playoffs and oust the sox..much like the vikes ousted the pack last yr

Welcome to the deep end of the pool! I'm glad to see that you are the first official Twins fan to conceed the season to the Sox, predicting that they will win by 4 games. I would have to think that number will be slightly higher. Also, would you care to make monthly predictions? How many games do you think the Twins will make up on the Sox in July? Look at the schedules and get back to us. But as for now, I feel the love! I wonder if there are any other Twins fans out there who want to get on board now in thinking that the Sox will beat the Twins this year? Let's see.

I'm curious when you think the White Sox clubhouse will turn into WWE? Do people over there really think Thomas and Everett will be willing to split each other's playing time all year?

They've been splitting time for weeks now. Do you really think either one of them want to cause problems when this could be either one of their best shots at winning a World Series?

The other day, Thomas DH'ed, Everett played left. With a team this deep, there are so many options to keep guys in the lineup without sitting for more than a couple days at a time.

You're 100 percent right, they should get along as well as things are going there, and winning always makes it easier to get along. That said, both of these guys have caused trouble at other times in their careers when they should have kept their mouths shut, so I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen again.

1)The White Sox have been predicted to win the division plenty of times by plenty of people over the course of the past few years. It just wasn't until the patterned their game after the Twins that they have lived up to expectations.

2)I'm curious as to how having a deep team makes it easier to get guys in the lineup.

I'll never concede anything to the Sox and especially not to you. I'm just saying that we need to worry about ourselves. The Sox are good, but you are not. So don't go claiming yourselves the next world champs. I say it will be very tough, but your boys have a history of collapsing. By the way, sometimes you just have to keep your big fat mouth shut.

This is not true. I've followed all the espn writers and vegas odds, and the only year since 1995 were they the overwhelming favorites to win their was 2001.

Because guys like Everett can play left field, right field, DH, first base.

Dye can play left, right, shortstop.

Thomas can play........

Harris can play anywhere.

My point is that their players can play many positions, making it easier to get them in the lineup when one guy needs a rest.

Actually, I remember quite a few times when the analysts on ESPN predicted the Sox would win it. Very rarley do I remember them giving it to the twinks.

Last year, I think only THREE.

I'm not calling the sox underacheivers Jim. I'm just pointing out that some people have put them at the top before. I would certainly say the Twins are underacheiving right now. I know they were picked by many to take it this year. It could still happen too.

i called them sox underachievers because for the last 4-5 years they were either suppose to win the division or wildcard... then midseason they always make a blockbustertrade to put em over the hump and it hasnt happened yet..yes they are playing good ball.. yes they probably win the division this yr.. but that will be the end of it.. i still think the twins win the wildcard and are the team that knocks the sox out of the playoffs... i think we have a few tricks up our sleeve for once this yr
