Yes you could use the ice ducer if you situate it where it can reach the water like a tiller application. You'll then need to rig some sort of mount for the ducer. Of coarse you won't be able to run the lake like that but for trolling it should be fine. Or shoot through the hull in which case you'll have to bridge the gap of the ducer and hull with water or a gel. Just be careful not to bang the face of the ducer.
